FREE EXTERIOR ASSESSMENT

Start with the home you have.

Unsure where to begin with your windows or doors? Request a free exterior assessment. Share what you have noticed and your location so John can discuss the project and arrange the next step.

No charge for this initial visit or conversation. John confirms access and scope with you; any paid work needs a separate agreement.

Window and door projects involve more than the unit itself. Discuss the existing openings, how you want them to work, and the interior and exterior finishing needed to bring the installation together.

01

Start with what is not working.

Describe difficult operation, visible wear, concerns around an opening, or a style you want to change. A like-for-like replacement and a different opening or configuration can involve different amounts of work.

02

Compare an appearance and an arrangement.

Explore double-hung, casement, French casement and bay window examples. Try frame colors, divided-light looks, trim and shutters, or compare entry and French-door styles. The sample house changes all windows together so you can see a coordinated look.

03

Include the finishing work.

Ask what happens to the surrounding casing, trim, siding and interior surfaces. Confirm sizes, product specifications, installation details and any work to the opening before a proposal becomes a final decision.

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

Your questions, answered.

Can I explore a bay window or French windows?

Yes. The model includes a projecting bay and French casement windows, as well as other examples. These help express an idea; John must assess the existing opening and what a change would involve.

Does the planner include window treatments?

It currently includes exterior shutters, frame colors, trim and divided-light appearance. Interior blinds, shades and curtains are not part of the current explorer.

Will new windows solve a comfort problem?

A model cannot determine that. Describe the concern and ask how the opening, installation and product specifications will be assessed. No energy-saving result is promised by the planner.
