A roofing project starts with the condition of the existing roof and a clear description of the work. Whether you are concerned about a problem or considering replacement, talk with John before deciding on materials or scope.
What is prompting the project?
Tell John about leaks, visible wear, concerns after weather, or plans to replace an older roof. Photos and what you have noticed are useful starting points. The model is a way to explore ideas; an assessment of your actual roof determines the work.
Compare the whole roof, not just the color.
Shingle and metal appearances are available to explore in the planner. The conversation also needs to cover the roof deck, underlayment, flashing, ventilation and edges. Ask which products and installation details belong in your proposal.
Make the surrounding work visible.
Discuss what will be removed, property protection, debris removal and cleanup. Where roofing meets walls or gutters, agree on what is included and who handles each connection. Hidden damage and any changes should have a clear discussion and approval process.
