Terms prepared October 6, 2026
STICK & STONE HOME SRVS LLC, doing business as Stick & Stone Home Services, provides a 20-year limited roofing workmanship warranty for the roofing work it contracts to perform. Read these terms with the written scope of work before your project begins, and keep a copy with your project records.
The work we stand behind
The warranty covers defects in the installation of roofing work performed by Stick & Stone or tradespeople working under our roofing agreement. Covered work is the work described in that agreement, including the installation of roof coverings, underlayment, flashing, edges and other roofing components where they are included in the scope.
For a repair or partial replacement, coverage applies to the work we perform and its connections included in the agreement. It does not turn an existing roof or unrelated work into a new, fully warranted system. Remodeling, siding, windows and doors have their own project terms.
When coverage starts and ends
Coverage runs for 20 years from the roofing completion date recorded in the project’s completion documents. We provide that date and identify the covered work in writing. A correction under this warranty continues the original term; it does not restart the 20-year period.
The warranty applies to the original customer. A transfer to a later owner requires a separate written agreement with Stick & Stone; transfer is not included automatically.
What happens if our workmanship needs correction
Tell us about the concern so we can inspect it and identify the cause. If the problem is covered, we will arrange the work needed to correct the installation defect at no charge for the correction’s labor or necessary materials. We will explain the proposed correction and arrange access with you.
Coverage addresses our defective work. It does not require replacement of unaffected roofing where a proper correction resolves the defect. Other rights and remedies available under applicable law are not waived by these terms.
Workmanship and product warranties are separate
A manufacturer’s material defect or product warranty is separate from this workmanship coverage. The products and any manufacturer documents should be identified in your proposal. A product concern does not remove our responsibility for a covered installation defect.
This workmanship warranty does not promise a roof’s service life or guarantee that it will never be damaged or need maintenance.
Conditions outside this workmanship coverage
Coverage does not apply to damage caused by storms, falling objects, fire, animals, structural movement, normal aging or other causes unrelated to our installation. It also does not cover pre-existing defects, work outside our agreement, or later alterations or repairs by others to the extent they cause the problem.
Follow reasonable care and maintenance instructions supplied for the roof. A maintenance issue or later alteration affects coverage only where it causes or contributes to the reported problem. It does not automatically cancel coverage for unrelated defects in our workmanship.
When more than one cause is involved, we will explain the findings and identify any correction attributable to covered workmanship. We will discuss any proposed work outside coverage and its cost before you authorize it.
How to ask for warranty help
Contact John at john@stickandstonehomeservices.com or 253-330-2686 promptly after noticing a concern. Provide your name, project address, a description of the problem and, if available, the agreement or completion date. Share photos only when you can take them safely.
Allow reasonable access for assessment and correction. Take reasonable steps to limit further damage without putting yourself at risk. If urgent temporary work is necessary before we can attend, keep photos, receipts and a description of what was done, and let us know as soon as practical. Emergency work does not automatically void unrelated coverage; any reimbursement depends on the cause and applicable coverage.
The website is not monitored as an emergency service. Do not climb onto a roof to investigate a warranty concern.
Keep the project terms together
Your written roofing agreement and completion documents identify the property, covered work and start date. Any additional coverage or agreed transfer should also be in writing. These terms add an express workmanship promise and do not exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
